About GRLM Studio

The story behind GRLM Studio.

Independent web design from Liverpool, shaped by faith, honest work and a desire to help people grow their mission online.

Hi, I’m George.

I’m an independent web designer based in Liverpool, helping businesses, churches, ministries, charities and organisations build professional websites that are designed to grow with them.

Like many people starting out, I balanced freelancing alongside a full-time career. Every project became an opportunity to learn, improve and help businesses strengthen their online presence.

Over time, my Christian faith became a much bigger part of my life and naturally began to shape the way I approached my work. Rather than simply building websites, I wanted to build a business rooted in integrity, honesty, purpose, stewardship and serving people well.

Why GRLM exists

I believe every organisation has a mission. Whether you’re growing a local business, serving your community through a charity, or leading a church or ministry, your website should support that mission — not get in the way of it.

That’s why every website is designed with clarity, performance and long-term usability in mind. I want to understand the values and problems behind the organisation, then create something that helps without breaking the bank.

Experience

I’ve worked in a marketing agency handling website design and creation using WordPress, SEO research, content implementation, research and software implementation. I also freelance in web design and consulting around online presence.

Foundation

Colossians 3:23 says, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord.” That is the heart behind the work: not performative religion, but honest service and care in the details.

FAQ

Common questions.

Do you only work with Christian organisations?

No. GRLM works with small businesses and organisations generally, while being open about the Christian values that shape the service.

Do I need WordPress?

Not always. WordPress can be right for some projects, but many sites are better served by a lightweight static build. The right choice depends on what you need to edit, manage and scale.

Can you improve my existing website?

Yes. Redesigns, refreshes, SEO reviews, content structure and performance improvements can all be more sensible than starting again.

Do you offer ongoing support?

Yes. Care plans can include backups, maintenance checks, updates, issue response and optional SEO/blog support.

Can you help if I do not know what pages I need?

Yes. The first step is understanding your organisation, then shaping the pages around what visitors need to know and what action they should take.

Will the website work on mobile?

Yes. The site structure and design should work properly on phones, tablets and desktops.

Can you work with a small budget?

Where possible, yes. If a simpler starting point is the sensible option, I’ll be honest about that rather than pushing unnecessary work.

Do you help after launch?

Yes. Launch support, small updates, maintenance and future improvements can be discussed as part of a care plan.
